Bingo Beans

Or, And Bingo Was His Nameo

In keeping with RecycleBill’s List of Green Start-up Ideas, here’s an idea for the Slow Foods enthusiast who is entertaining the idea of opening or revamping his or her locally owned restaurant or the local non-profit in need of networking and fund raising.

Bingo Beans is pretty much what the title suggests-- an organic pot of beans, cornbread, some green vegetables, perhaps some red wine depending on local laws and a game of Bingo on the side.

While the laws concerning Bingo parlors vary from state to state, most states do allow Bingo to be played for entertainment purposes only. If a restaurant or non-profit were to charge only for the food and play Bingo at no charge then all would be legal in most states. Then, at the end of the night one winner takes all the prize money while the restaurant or non-profit takes the profits.

RecycleBill isn’t a lawyer and doesn’t play one on TV so please check with a competent attorney before you try the first game of Bingo Beans.
