Dagne Electric Vehicles, An American Revolution
Wed, December 17, 2008 at 6:03 Somebody gets it. Build the products where the people live and build what the people need. This is the type of thinking I've been promoting for years and RecycleBill is happy to see there are like minds here in America.
The Dagne ev, built by Revolution Motors in Santa Barbara, California is exactly the shot in the arm the American economy and the world economy needs. The plan: Build electric powered vehicles in local facilities all over America instead of building them in giant factories hundreds or thousands of miles away. The Dagne plan allows Dagne dealers to also be Dagne manufacturers.
The solar powered/plug-in rechargeable, gas powered hybrid Dagne commuter vehicle can travel 120 miles using lead acid batteries and leans into corners like a motorcycle. As a matter of fact it is a fully enclosed electric motorcycle. This in-line hybrid (the same technology proven for over 50 years by America's railroads) can travel 120 miles per hour and has a combined hybrid range of 600 miles at 150 miles per gallon of gasoline, alcohol, biofuels or diesel fuel. Talk about flexibility!
As a matter of fact: RecycleBill has already hatched a plan to build the Dagne ev at a plant right here in Greensboro, North Carolina and entered into discussions with Dagne management back in October.
