Or, Some Things Even RecycleBill Can't Fix
A continuation of my series, Recycling Isn't Green.
RecycleBill grew up in a conservative home-- not because of political beliefs but because my conservative, Depression Era parents simply didn't have any use for wasteful people or wasteful ideas. And while most probably consider me a liberal thinker, the conservative hatred of waste taught to me by my parents remains ingrained in my very being. Like my parents taught me, waste is always just plain wrong.
So are things like shark finning-- a deplorable act that is pushing some breeds into extinction and turning the food chain upside down. Ultimately this reversal of the food chain will mean less food for humans.
When you read in your Bible or other holy book that man has dominion over the earth and all its creatures please remember the definition of dominion is supreme authority and with authority comes the responsibility to care for all we hold dominion over. Even if it means that sacrifices must be made.
Some more things that are just plain wrong:
Litter. Every day I pick up trash tossed onto the ground outside my home and business. Most of this trash is thrown from cars and the people who toss it out-- White, Black, Hispanic, Native American, Asian and others-- are all the scum of the Earth. As one who lives in a city named, Greensboro, I think this is like a slap in the face. Call me extreme but I would have no qualms with making littering a capitol crime.
Promoting flawed products as a solution to a problem without admitting their flaws is wrong.
Watered down bottle bills are wrong in oh so many ways.
And finally, some things are right. If only someone would make it come true.
Now, if it's okay with my readers I'll be going back to bed as I'm recovering from a ruptured ear drum.

I hope you feel better soon. I applaud your courage and strength in telling it like it is. Scum comes in all colors, littering should be unthinkable by now, but alas, like my friend says "You can't teach stupid people old tricks".
Dominion comes at a price; responsibility. I know there are more responsible people out there than what I can see. I just wish they would all stand up and let their voices be heard. And that their actions be clearly seen by the inconsiderate as behavior to emulate.
Keep up the good work!
