Veggisode 22

One Hit Wonder

The Vegetable Stalker makes his Pay-Per-View debut! Stay tuned to this VNN. station for more details.

Hello, this is Bruce Apple reporting for VNN., Veggie News Network, or was that Veggie Network News? I can never remember how it goes. Anyway, if you were one of the millions of viewers who watched him last night then you know why Veggie is on the lam. For both of you who missed the live television broadcast, here's what happened.

“Eatin’ goober peas, eatin’ goober peas.”
The Stalker sang these very words on national TV.
He claimed it was a song he wrote
right there before our eyes,
but now it seems he’s wanted
because he plagiarized!

What’s this? Just when you think Veggie’s finally got it together, he goes and does something like this. He got out of that cherry jam no problem, but he can’t bribe or blackmail the twenty million viewers who listened to him on television last night. You did catch the show, right? It was on Pay-Per-View channel 969 at three AM. The tragedy is that while Veggie gets all the blame, he only got paid in peanuts. Will Veggie get out of this mess? Does anyone know a good lawyer who’s willing to work for peanuts? That is, if Veggie doesn’t eat them all first. You reckon the Vegetable Stalker will end up just another one-hit-wonder? Yeah, me too.

This Veggisode has been brought to you by Cold Dry Biscuits, the new book by Billy Jones. If cold dry biscuits were served in our schools then our children would all love to read. Buy yourself a copy today. Hey, I hear Veggie is in Cold Dry Biscuits.

For the latest info on the whereabouts of that pea brained vegetable, Veggie Head Stalker, don't go to Pay-Per-View but instead, stay tuned to this free, I repeat, free, VNN. station, or go to the free Veggie News Network website at VegetableStalker.com. I can't imagine anyone paying to see the Vegetable Stalker, can you?
